Scope

This list is for the discussion of Non Destructive Evaluation (NDE).
All aspects of NDE and related science and technology are topics of
this mailing list.

Mailing List History

This mailing list was founded at the NATO Advanced Research Workshop
"Advances in Signal Processing for Non Destructive Evaluation of
Materials".  This workshop was organized by a group headed by
Professor Xavier Maldague and was hosted by Universite Laval in
August 1993.  Dr. Keith Pickens of Southwest Research Institute set
up the list, and now SwRI is maintaining the list and providing the
necessary computing resources. 

Newgroup History

The newsgroup ``sci.techniques.testing.nondestructive'' was proposed
by Dr. Martin Jones in March 1995.  Through the campaign efforts of
many, especially Mr. Russell Austin of NTIAC, the vote for the 
newsgroup passed in June 1995 and the group was created in July 1995.
The newsgroup and mailing list are connected by a gateway at SwRI.

How to subscribe or unsubscribe to the list

To have an electronic mail address added to or dropped from the list,
point your web browser to the NDE Mail List Info Page and provide the
requested information.

How to post messages to list members

To post a message to all members and all readers of the newsgroup,
send mail to nde@nde.swri.edu

Note:  Before you send a message, first subscribe to the mail list.  If
you subscribe, your message will be automatically approved and
immediately sent to the list members.  If you are not a list member,
then the message must be approved by the list moderator.
